Dear Future, Meet the Past.

the ramblings of an outgoing introvert.

Today has been a HECK of a day.

If I had known the things that happened today were going to happen…I would not have gotten out of bed.

ARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH.

okay the graphics on this video are cheesy. But this song seriously hit me upside the head today.

It’s hard to say no, but sometimes…you have to.

Anonymous asked: Which member of the Avengers is your favorite?

Agh! That’s such a tough question. I love each member for various reasons, but Tony Stark/Ironman takes the cake. His humor kills me! I love that he finally puts aside his self-satisfying attitude to save everyone else. That’s a tough thing to overcome.

When will I learn to be satisfied? All I want is more. More friends. More talent. More happiness. A more perfect life.

Hello, life’s not perfect. It’s not supposed to be. Having more friends won’t make life better. A boyfriend won’t make life better. Being good at…WHATEVER…won’t make life better.

I feel sorry for myself because I’m not in a romantic relationship and many of my friends are…but what part of “it’s better to be single and a little lonely than in a relationship and miserable” can I not get through my head?

I was miserable…miserable to the point of not even wanting to live life anymore. But I can BREATHE now. I can lay in bed and not worry about where my thoughts will take me.

I say all of that to make my point this: I’m realizing the only thing that can make my life BETTER is getting closer to God. Period. That’s it.

Lately, when I’ve been feeling down, I’ve made myself stop and count my blessings. Literally COUNT them. Here are a few that I can’t help but share:

1. God sent His Son so I could be saved.

2. I’m alive

3. Even though my health isn’t the best, I am a functioning member of society

4. I don’t have a brain tumor

5. My dad is alive.

6. I have wonderful, wonderful, wonderful friends.

7. I have a roof over my head and food to eat.

8. I have a job.

9. I have a car to drive.

10. God has blessed me with hobbies that I love

11. My family is incredible.

12. I go to a top-notch school that’s unlike any other.

13. I can see, hear, and speak.

14. I have a wonderful church.

15. I don’t want for anything. At all. Ever.

Life could be so much worse. God has provided exponentially.
